such a boring, boring day

This is yet another attempted at creating blog number 7373857583....without bailing out on it right after the first post.

I do not have anything to talk about apart from the fact that am very very very [....]  very much bored. So I said, hey! let's check some of the blogs I used to follow, maybe that will take my mind off useless thoughts and total blankness of the mind. And that led to me, here, typing randomly to no one in particular cause obviously, I don't have anyone to show it to, if I did...well I wouldn't be here in the first place.

Interesting....

Question: Are Bloggers lonely people who are merely trying to get the attention of others who, otherwise, wouldn't even give them the time of day in real life?

Could be.

After years and years of forced repression and invisibility, the internet offers a way for them to reach out, to stand up and shout out "I AM HERE!!! NOTICE ME PEOPLE!!!" and oh wonders of wonders!...they do!

How fucked up is that! Why would you consciously delete someone from your peripheral vision and later add them on facebook like they are suddenly the hottest person on earth because they have more likes than you? How can you bully someone all day and later enjoy his personal webcast on the internet? Why would you tell someone to fuck off and post a comment on their blogs because their article was on "how to make yourself pretty for 3$ only"? How hypocrite and just downright pathetic...

But let's not generalize, not everyone blogging out there is looking for a little piece of fame, recognition or just attention. I know bloggers who do have a family, a job and all in all, a fairly normal life which wouldn't be affected in anyway if they stopped blogging tomorrow. This kind of bloggers enjoy writing about topics that matters to them, like politics, or living in a foreign country, or simply to review the book they are currently reading or share their opinion on the last Tim Burton's movie (which sucked by the way, but the special effects were just mind blowing). When you follow blogs such as these, you actually feel like you are learning something, adding new information to your hard drive without it being jammed in by some bitter/angry/bored out of his mind/doesn't give a shit/ underpaid teacher and make you see some topics under a different light than yours ( opinionated people should burn in hell). However...

Question: Aren't serious bloggers attention cravers as well?

I sure as hell am! I mean why would you spend hours drafting very well written and constructed articles (which so not my case by the way) if not for other people to read and comment? Yes, some might say that the simple fact of "putting it out there" is enough, but let's not kid ourselves; human beings, by their own primal nature are always looking for recognition. Without it, we don't exist.

Little extreme? I don't think so.

Question: If you were trapped on a freaking island all your life, without any human contact whatsoever for a lifetimes, who would know? ( for those who are wondering, no, this is not a "Lost" reference at all)

Answer: No one.

And no the parents died on the island too, no relatives.

Farfetched you say?

Fair enough....

Would Shakespeare be Shakespeare if he'd kept his work to himself? Without people's opinions, without their interesting in him and his marvelous pieces, he would have died a nobody, just some writer guy who lived in England centuries ago. Expect for his heirs, no one would care.

Point is: Without followers, you are just a scribbling idiot on the cyber cacophony that is the internet. Without fans, singers would be still rehearsing imaginary concert with their shampoo bottles under the shower or for their families on Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Of course, one shouldn't depend on other to do whatever the hell they want to do, this isn't what I am saying here. We are individuals, separate personalities, different from one another but we live in the same social spheres, we sometimes watches the same TV-shows and the same time, some of us have the same ice cream flavor, others will vote for the same candidate on the next elections. There is nothing wrong with being alone if that's what you wish, but in order for us to grow and learn and become who we are at the very end of our journey; we need others.

So...where is this post going, you say? To sum it up nicely, let's say that serious bloggers rock! And you should always comment on their posts if they leave an impact on you, be it a positive one or not, just let them hear your voice on the subject. 'Cause the truth is, if you want to hurt someone on the internet, it's not by leaving the most insulting comment possible, you simply ignore them and whatever they have to say. Eventually, they give up and turn off their laptops for good.

As for me, am not even sure I'll be posting anything else anytime soon. After all, this post was just drafted straight out of boredom land; the place where randomness grow and babble sings.
